Peter Petit: Founder | President

Pete has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of innovation, including more than 25 years managing R&D and intellectual property. With expertise in market evaluation, platform development, product conceptualization, positioning, and risk mitigation, Pete has driven the new product investment process for world class firms. He is named inventor on 20 patents, is a past member of the Industrial Research Institute and has worked for Siemens, Allis-Chalmers, General Electric and Varian. Pete holds BS/MSME degrees from Marquette University.

Michael Petit: CEO | CFO

Mike's 30-year career encompasses a blend of commercial/investment banking, corporate leadership and consulting, including startups, high growth situations, M&A and capital raising transactions.  He is a former EVP at PRA Group, a publicly traded (NASDAQ: PRAA) global financial services firm, and past President of their Insolvency Investment Services business unit, which he started up and grew into a multi-billion dollar international business.  He holds a BSME from the University of Illinois and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.  Mike joined the V-Glass advisory Board in August 2015 and became a shareholder a year later.

Fred Krumberger: VP Business Development & Strategy

Fred has over 30 years of executive leadership and business development experience in global markets, including the energy management and building products industries. As a senior executive serving NetPeak Energy, Algoma Group, Little Rapids Corp, Manitowoc Company, and SC Johnson, Fred consistently grew revenues and built value for stakeholders. He's led startups in North America, Europe and Asia. Fred holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. Fred has served V-Glass as a consultant and Advisory Board member since 2009.

Chris Kubicek: Chief Technology Officer

Chris brings 25 years of R&D management, manufacturing optimization, and product commercialization experience from companies like SC Johnson, Agilent and Delphi Automotive.  He is a proven engineering leader with a strong history of employing DFSS and Lean NPD practices to optimize product development process and using VOC to drive successful product launches.  Chris is a named inventor on more than 100 patents and holds BS/MSME degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Dr. Cenk Kocer: USyd; DOE Grant Subawardee (PI)

Dr. Kocer is the VIG Group leader at the University of Sydney, a member of the ISO VIG Standards Development Task Force and a renowned consultant in the global glass industry.  Dr. Kocer is a sub-awardee and the Principal Investigator on a V-Glass DOE grant. Dr. Kocer holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Sydney, which also brings significant institutional expertise to V-Glass given that USyd developed the technologies currently used in 1st generation VIG production.

Scott Woida: V-Glass Investor and Automation Partner

Scott is founder and owner of Midwest Engineered Systems Group (MWES), an automation and robotics integrator with facilities in Wisconsin and Colorado.  V-Glass leases laboratory space in the MWES facility located in Pewaukee, WI.  MWES has been providing innovative automation solutions to its customers for over 20 years and will assist V-Glass as the company moves towards full commercialization. Scott holds a BSEE from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Robert Spindler: Advisory Board Member

Bob has over 45 years of experience in the window glazing industry.  Now retired, he most recently was VP Technical Services of Cardinal Glass Industries. Bob is widely known and well respected in the insulated glass manufacturing industry. He has been active in trade associations, including the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).  Bob has served as President of both the Glazing Industry Code Committee (GICC) and the Insulating Glass Certification Council (IGCC).

Herb Zien: Advisory Board Member

For over 30 years, Herb has played key roles in the formation, management, purchase and sale of energy-related businesses.  He previously cofounded a firm that became the largest owner/operator of district energy systems in the U.S.  As Director of Dominion Thermal, a division of Dominion Resources, he led the successful acquisition of Cleveland’s district energy system.  Herb is the author of numerous energy related articles that have been published in magazines such as Mission Critical.  He is currently on the board of several companies, including LiquidCool Solutions, Inc., where he previously served as CEO and Chairman.  Herb holds an MS in Management from MIT (where he was Editor of Sloan Business Review) and BS/MSME from Cornell.

David Cooper: V-Glass Technical Advisor/Consultant

Dave has been involved in most aspects of Insulating Glass and Vacuum Insulating Glass engineering, design, processing, quality, thermal performance, testing and certification and holds over a dozen patents.  He was responsible for teams at Guardian Glass that validated VIG and a new IG product.  Dave is an Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (FGIA) Ex-Officio Board Member and past president.  He held board and leadership positions with the Insulating Glass Certification Council, ISO and NFRC VIG Task Groups among other organizations.  Dave recently founded DJ Cooper Consulting, a part of Fenestration Consulting Services™, to bring his team’s glass and fenestration expertise to clients.  Dave holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and is a certified Project Management Professional.
